MD John Mason with PA Katy Sullivan at the Nomination Party for the
The IPM (Institute of Promotional Marketing)

This was the culmination of the IPM's search for the 30 people aged under the age of 30 who are already making a difference to the industry and who are more than likely to be the stars of tomorrow... these are not our words but the very ones uttered from Martin Croft, Editor or Promotional Marketing Magazine. John Mason, our MD was one of these very such people. More words from Martin Croft are as follows:

"We invited nominations from all corners of the promotional marketing world - whether nominees worked for brand owners, agencies or service partners was irrelevant. What mattered is that they were contributing to the success of the company they worked for - the list of finalists you'll find in the awards list is based on achievement, both during work hours and outside the office.

Underlining the fact that this is very far from being a beauty parade are the regular mentions in our finalists' CVs of various extra-curricular courses aimed at developing their industry-relevant skill sets.

Most, but not all, of these professional courses are run by the Institute of Promotional Marketing - indeed, half of our finalists have the IPM Diploma in Promotional Marketing (and MD John Mason is one of them). Getting an IPM Diploma involves - usually - considerable support from employers and a lot of hard work by the candidate themselves.

It is exactly this kind of willingness to invest in personal development that is absolutely vital, if our industry is to prosper in the future.

On the attachment area below are the pictures of the supplement and also a picture of John at the invitation only party for the finalists which was based in Central London in the middle of March. More pictures and information will follow very soon.

PRESS RELEASE 15th March 2011, Brighton, England

posted 15 Mar 2011 13:06 by John Mason

On Wednesday 16th March 2011, John Mason – Managing Director of experiential marketing company Cow Say:“Moo!” is set to enter the hall of fame as one of the finalists for the Promotional Marketing Magazines ‘Top 30 under 30’ promotional marketers in the UK.

With over ten years of live marketing behind him and little black book of some of the biggest names in the industry behind him both personally and through his astonishing network of support services to ensure that any project goes without a hitch. John and his team are certain to be ‘leading the herd’ on this show!

For the last 18 months, John has been working for a marketing agency based in Lewes, England and working in both here in England and also in France too. The last project John has masterminded has been for a cross-channel ferry company which has seen him crossing the length and breadth of England, France and Belgium giving customers a firsthand experience of this up and coming brand.

When asked about the company and what the day to day operation is John Mason said:

“We are a creative thinking company, experiential marketers and above everything else... pretty approachable people who create bespoke and inventive events, promotions and marketing campaigns.

We chose the company name Cow Say:"Moo!" not only so as we could answer the phone and "Moo!" at random strangers, nor was it so as we can pretend to be Japanese warriors in a Takeshis' Castle stylee with bandanna's on... but it was the simple fact that wherever you go and whatever you do... a cow will always and will only ever say "Moo!" and that’s a fact!”

Its certain that Cow Say:”Moo!” have the talent, the skills, the contacts and the knowledge to be able to put together a multi-million pound marketing campaign. It is obvious that they have the resources, the buying power and the history to be able to engage with a clients target demographic audience.

The team have worked in various sectors, across many genres and have a wealth of experience... but one thing which makes them unique is their belief in fun! Their ethos reflects in their company mission statement!

"Can’t decide whether to buy a cow or a bicycle? Well just remember... even though you may look silly riding a cow... you would look a darn sight sillier trying to milk a bicycle!!!"
